Privacy Policy

Disconnections (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a daily word‑grouping puzzle that runs as a Discord Activity. This policy explains what information we process when you play and why. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Information we process
- Discord account info. Through Discord's authorization (the
identifyandguildsscopes), we receive your Discord user ID, username/display name, and avatar. - Server context. The server (guild) and channel IDs where you launch the App, and confirmation of your membership in that server — used to scope leaderboards to the right community and to validate scores.
- Gameplay data. Your guesses and outcomes (solved groups, mistakes, win/loss, completion time) and the stats derived from them (score, streak, games played, win rate, average mistakes).
- Live presence. While a puzzle is in progress, your current progress (groups solved, mistakes remaining, and whether you're picking, solved, or out) is broadcast in real time to other players in the same room.
We do not collect your messages, email, payment information, or any data beyond the above.
How we use it
- To run the game and show who else is playing in real time.
- To compute and display per‑server season and all‑time leaderboards.
- To verify results server‑side (anti‑cheat) so leaderboards stay fair.
Who can see your data
Other players in your server can see your display name, avatar, live progress, and your entries on that server's leaderboard. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Service providers
- Discord — platform and authentication.
- Supabase — stores game results and leaderboards and powers real‑time presence.
- Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.
Daily puzzle content is original to Disconnections and served from our own database. Each provider above processes data under its own privacy policy.
Retention & your choices
Gameplay and leaderboard records are retained so standings persist over time. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time using the contact below; deletion removes your scores and stats from the leaderboards.
Children
The App is not directed to anyone under 13, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
